Date: 21-Jan-2006 Location: Pune-Mumbai Expressway. I normally dont get up early in the morning. I can count the number of sunrises seen in an year. But the thrill of driving down the, undisputedly, the fastest highway in the western India more than compensates for the trouble of getting early.

This one shows the various shades of the sky at dawn!

The sun rising over the valley shrouded in early morning fog.

The beautiful Sahyadri hills in the background. The iron rich soil gleams in orange hues as the morning sun rays falls on them.

The object in the foreground looks more like a POC (proof of concept) of a bridge girder!!! :)

This is just the half of the expressway. The other half, I was busy tearing down the highway. May be someday, I will complete the coverage. Someday, if I forego the thrill of driving on the expressway. Someday...
